REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

InventMemories is owned and operated by InventMemories LLC.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out the conditions applicable to the cancellation of reservations for spaces and services, as well as the processing of refunds within the InventMemories platform.

1. CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations made within the InventMemories platform will be governed by the policies established by each Host or Provider when publishing their space or service. Guests should carefully review the applicable cancellation conditions before confirming any reservation, as these policies determine the right to a refund and the specific conditions in case of cancellation. InventMemories acts solely as a technological intermediary, applying the policies defined by the corresponding users and processing any applicable refunds.

1.1. Cancellations by Guests

Guests may cancel a reservation based on the cancellation policy established by the Host or Provider. For example, a flexible policy may grant a full refund if the cancellation is made at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event; a moderate policy may allow a fifty percent (50%) refund if the cancellation is made at least seven (7) days in advance; and a strict policy may stipulate that no refund will be given if the cancellation is made within fourteen (14) days of the reservation date. Each Guest is responsible for knowing and accepting the applicable policy before confirming the agreement.

1.2. Cancellations by Hosts

 If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, the Guest will be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid. However, Hosts acknowledge that unjustified or frequent cancellations have a negative impact on the trust of the community and may lead to consequences within the platform, such as reduced visibility of their listings or, in serious or repeated cases, temporary or permanent suspension of their account.

1.3. Cancellations by Vendors

In the event that a Vendor cancels a confirmed service, the Guest shall be entitled to a full refund of the amount corresponding to that service. Vendors accept that unjustified or repeated cancellations directly affect their reputation within the platform and may result in penalties, including limited functionality, formal warnings, or the temporary or permanent suspension of their account.

2. SERVICE FEES

By using the InventMemories platform, users agree that all confirmed reservations are subject to a service fee, which is approximately seven percent (7%) for Guests, three percent (3%) for Hosts, and seven percent (7%) for Vendors, calculated on the total amount of the transaction and intended to cover the costs of operating, maintaining, and managing the platform’s technology. These fees are final and non-refundable under any circumstances, except in exceptional cases where the cancellation is made directly by the Host or Vendor, or when there is a verified technical error attributable to the platform that prevents the proper execution of the reservation, in which case InventMemories may authorize, at its sole discretion, a partial or total refund of the fees charged.

3. EVENT INTERRUPTIONS AND NO-SHOWS

At InventMemories, interruptions or no-shows during a confirmed reservation have specific consequences depending on the party involved, and users agree that refunds will only be applied under the terms described herein:

For Guests:

  • If the Guest does not show up for the reservation at the established date and time, they will not be entitled to any refund.
  • If the Guest engages in inappropriate, illegal, or contrary conduct to the rules of the Host or Provider that results in the early termination of the event or service, no partial or full refund will be granted.

For Hosts and Providers:

  • If the interruption of the event, space, or service is caused by misconduct, breach, or omission on the part of the Host or Provider, the Guest may request a partial or full refund.
  • InventMemories will evaluate each refund request according to the circumstances of the case, considering factors such as the severity of the offense, the actual time of use, and the available evidence.

InventMemories reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, the validity and amount of any refund, acting solely as a technological intermediary and assuming no direct responsibility for the conduct of users.

4. DISPUTES REGARDING REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a dispute between a Guest, Host, or Vendor specifically related to a refund or cancellation, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the disagreement directly through clear, honest, and good-faith communication. InventMemories encourages users to handle these situations directly to reach fair agreements without the need for additional intervention.

If the parties are unable to resolve the dispute, InventMemories may, at its sole discretion and without any obligation, review the case and evaluate the appropriateness of partial or full refunds in accordance with applicable cancellation policies, the evidence presented, and the particular circumstances. The decision made by InventMemories in these cases will be final within the framework of the platform and will be limited to the processing of refunds or adjustments in relation to the reservations involved.

5. FORCE MAJEURE

In the event that an event, venue, or service cannot be carried out due to circumstances of force majeure, such as natural disasters, health emergencies, acts of terrorism, armed conflicts, government restrictions, or other causes beyond the reasonable control of the parties, InventMemories.com shall not be liable for the inability to perform, but may, at its sole discretion and after evaluating the circumstances, issue full or partial refunds, or grant credits to be used for future bookings, its decision being final and binding within the platform.

6. REFUND PROCESSING

All refunds approved by InventMemories will be made exclusively to the original payment method used in the transaction, without the possibility of redirecting them to accounts or instruments other than those registered in the initial reservation. The timeframes for crediting refunds will be subject to the processing times established by external payment service providers and the corresponding banking entities, which normally range from five (5) to ten (10) business days. InventMemories assumes no responsibility for delays attributable to such third parties, limiting itself to initiating the refund process once the return has been authorized and notifying the user when the process has been successfully completed on the platform.

7. POLICY CHANGES

InventMemories reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time, whether to adapt to legal, regulatory, or operational changes or due to platform requirements. Modifications will take effect upon publication on the official website, and it will be the responsibility of users to periodically review this policy to stay informed. Continued use of the platform after such modifications take effect will constitute express acceptance of the new terms.
