What is InventMemories.com?
InventMemories.com is an online marketplace where: Hosts can rent out their backyards or event spaces by the hour, Guests can book those spaces for events (birthdays, weddings, reunions, etc.), and Service Providers (Vendors) like DJs, caterers, and photographers can offer their event services.
How do I list my backyard or event space?
Sign up as a Host, create a listing with photos, description, rules, and pricing. Once approved, your space will appear in search results.
How do I list services as a Vendor?
Sign up as a Service Provider (Vendor), create your profile, add services (e.g., catering, music, photography), and set your rates. Guests can then book your services alongside their event space.
How do payments work?
Guests pay securely through Stripe at the time of booking. Hosts and Vendors receive payouts after the event ends, minus InventMemories.com’s service fee.
What fees does InventMemories.com charge?
Guests: ~7% service fee on each booking. Hosts: ~3% service fee deducted from payouts. Vendors (Service Providers): ~7% service fee deducted from payouts.
What if something gets damaged during an event?
Hosts may request compensation from Guests for damages. InventMemories.com does not provide insurance coverage. We recommend Hosts carry proper homeowner or event insurance.
What if I need to cancel a booking?
Guests: Refunds depend on the Host’s chosen cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict). Hosts: If you cancel, Guests receive a full refund. Frequent Host cancellations may reduce your listing visibility. Vendors: If you cancel a service, Guests receive a refund. Frequent cancellations may affect your Vendor profile.
Do I need permits or insurance to host?
Yes. Hosts are responsible for complying with local regulations, permits, noise ordinances, and HOA/community rules. Insurance is strongly recommended.
Is my payment and personal information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a secure payment processor. InventMemories.com does not store credit card details.
How do reviews work?
After each event, Hosts and Guests can leave reviews for each other. Vendors can also be reviewed for their services. Reviews help keep the community safe and trustworthy.
